Back again: Postcards Anon 2025!
A huge thank you to everyone who supported Postcards Anon 2025 held for the fourth time at Television Centre, Wood Lane. Thanks to your generosity, enthusiasm and creativity, the event raised over £13,500 for West London Action for Children.
It was a real joy to welcome back familiar faces and to meet so many people attending for the first time. Visitors were treated to an inspiring exhibition of over 700 original postcard-sized artworks and ceramics, alongside a fantastic selection of items in our Silent Auction.
A thousand thank-yous
This event simply wouldn’t be possible without our incredible artists, who so generously donated their work — we are endlessly grateful to every one of you. Enormous thanks also go to our brilliant Postcards Anon Committee, a team of dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to organise the event, set up the exhibition, process sales and pack everything away at the end.
We are very grateful to Television Centre and Stanhope Plc for so generously hosting our return, and to Julia Collins at Collins & Green Art for sponsoring the event. We were also delighted by the contribution of the wonderful Chelsea Pensioners, who donated beautiful artwork and brought extra warmth to the exhibition when they visited and joined us for afternoon tea. Special thanks too to our volunteers for baking such delicious cakes.
Adding to the joyful atmosphere, we were treated to a glorious performance by the Hanwell Ukulele Group (HUG), who played a smashing set including Bring Me Sunshine, Happy Together, Come Up and See Me, and a special Cockney Medley. Their energy and enthusiasm were infectious — we very much hope to welcome them back next year.
Our Private View evening was a lovely opportunity for donating artists to enjoy the exhibition together, share a glass of wine and canapés, and be the first to choose the mini masterpieces they wanted to buy and receive place early bids in the auction.
Additional thanks go to The Godolphin and Latymer School for lending us their display boards, and a final, heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along, bought artwork, and helped raise vital funds for WLAC. Your support makes a real difference.
