June 2025
June brings to London roses in full bloom, the excitement of Wimbledon, and, for many teenagers, the intense stress of GCSEs and A Levels—the culmination of years of hard work. WLAC's presence in secondary schools, where exam stress is just one of the issues facing our clients, has become increasingly vital, and you can hear directly from one of our therapists working on the front line here .
This month also sees Volunteers’ Week (2–8 June), a nationwide celebration of the invaluable contributions made by volunteers every day. We’re grateful for the dedication of our own volunteers, whose support spans fundraising, governance, office admin, and our CAMEO stay & play. We’re proud to share the story of one of our key volunteers here.
Finally, June is Pride Month—a time to celebrate acceptance, equality, and the contributions of LGBTQIA+ communities. It’s an opportunity to stand together in support of diversity and inclusion.
We hope you enjoy this month's newsletter!
Wishing you all very best from the WLAC Team.
