Neighbourhood Nosh 2026

Neighbourhood Nosh raised over £6,400 for WLAC!

Thank you so much to everyone who joined the 2026 Neighbourhood Nosh and helped make it such a wonderful evening.

The event began on the evening of 7th May, the same day as the local elections. Around a hundred guests gathered in the magical garden of Albert and Carolina, enjoying tasty canapés and drinks while the rain held off. Gazala, our Director of Fundraising and Finance, gave a moving speech about WLAC's work with parents and the wider impact this has on families and the community.

Gazala, our Director of Fundraising and Finance gave a wonderful speech about WLAC’s work with parents and the positive impact this has on the wider family and community.

Then it was time for the annual progressive dinner party around Brook Green, as this safari-style evening moved on to two other houses for main course and pudding.  This annual fundraiser allowed participants to meet new neighbours, enhance community spirit and raise money for our vital work with children and their families.

Guests then set off on a progressive dinner around Brook Green, safari-style, moving between two more houses for the main course and pudding. This annual fundraiser gives participants the chance to meet new neighbours, strengthen community spirit, and raise money for our work with children and families.

Our huge thanks go to all the canapé-makers, who must have been busy all day, and to our garden-party hosts, who gave so much time, energy and skill to make the evening so enjoyable. It truly was a splendid event.

All the dinner hosts, who generously volunteered to cook wonderful food and host their guests so graciously.

Aaron and everyone at Finlay Brewer, for sponsoring the evening, staffing it, and generously providing all the Prosecco and wine. We're so grateful for your continued support and genuine interest in WLAC's work.

All our dinner guests, for their steadfast support. It's vital to WLAC's frontline work with local vulnerable families, and we couldn't be more grateful.

And last but by no means least, huge thanks to Brian, Emma, Gilly, Aaron, Isabel, Jane and Vicky, who make up the Brook Green Events team.
