An Evening of Bridge raises £3,613 for WLAC - thank you!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for An Evening of Bridge on Wednesday 24th January 2024 at the Holy Trinity Church Hall on Brook Green. We hope you all enjoyed a good evening and a hearty supper of shepherd’s and vegetarian pies and delicious salads, along with the pleasure of playing bridge together once again – hurray!

Our thanks go to Edmund Sixsmith and the Sixsmith School of Bridge for organising and running the evening, to Finlay Brewer for booking the venue, providing the wine and all the prizes, and to all of our volunteers who cooked, set up, served food and wine, washed up and cleaned up afterwards – Gilly, Teresa, Jane and Jane worked so hard and made everything smooth and perfect for the guests. Great bar work from Hettie and Monty who were incredibly warm and friendly to everyone, so THANK YOU all for making the evening such a success - we couldn’t do it without you!

The evening was won by Jamie Wardlaw, with Toby Deam and Sam Harris coming second. The winner of the grand slam bid and made was Lucy LeFanu.

We are delighted to let you know the evening raised a grand total of £3,613, all of which will go to support the incredible work of West London Action for Children helping local children and their families.

Thank you so much for your support and helping to raise such a marvellous sum
