Neighbourhood Nosh – Wednesday 20th May

Our Wonderful Wednesday continued with the annual Neighbourhood Nosh in Brook Green, where over 100 participants helped to raise over £4,000 for WLAC.

A very big thank you to the Jennings’ and to all the dinner hosts of this progressive dinner party, who were so generous in opening up their homes. The beautiful weather, delicious food, and warmth of all those involved helped to make this a very special evening. We are looking forward to next year already!

Brilliant turn out for WLAC’s 2015 Fun Run!

We were delighted to welcome over 80 people to this year’s Three Bridges Fun Run, which was once again held at the wonderful venue of St Paul’s School on the river.  We were supported on the day by a fantastic group of 11 volunteers from Goldman Sachs Community Teamworks, who helped us with the sign-in process, setting up brunch and marshalling along the course.

We had lots of families taking part in the walk, and the brunch afterwards was enjoyed by all.  There were various prizes awarded, including Fastest Male and Female runners, Fastest Young Teenager, Fastest Walker, First Family Home and Best Family Effort.  The day was a great success, with over £800 raised for WLAC.

Our huge congratulations and thanks to our London Marathon 2015 runners: Oliver Lubbock, Cosimo Codacci, Lorna Davies, Charlie Thornycroft, Jess Chichester, Freddie Cragie and Jasmine Bell. A daunting task, but our runners approached it with great humour, determination and enthusiasm, and have raised over £18,000 for West London Action for Children – a truly phenomenal amount, and a wonderful achievement.

Thank you.
